The farm is in the area around Sanguinaro, a small village on the outskirts of Noceto, and is formed by fertile soils surrounded by natural elements as hedges, woods, small lakes which all contribute to keep high the genetic-biodiversity of the place.
Moreover the soils and the fields have been inserted in the control system of the biological productions since 1997, as for the cattle farm which has been subjected to a control since 1999.

“We’ve chosen to apply the biological production techniques in all its phases to contribute to a better hygienic-sanitary safely in all the products offered, trying to carry out some of the main objectives of an agricultural policy addressed to the environment protection and to the safeguard of its natural heritage.”

The zootechnics activity, carried out with cattle farm techniques respectful of the animals well-being and with the use of fodder and cereals obtained according to biological processes, takes to a milk production which permits the workmanship of high quality and healthy cheese, inside the dairy farm of Borghetto.

 

The biologic (System)

 
 

Quality is fundamental for the biological agriculture.

“Quality” means alimentary safety linked to a better environment impact, to the absence of OGM and to the guarantee of the control system and certification.

About all the pollution problems regarding air, water, soil and the reduction of the biodiversity and the high energetic consumption, the biological agriculture has shown to be able to offer some concrete solutions through the application of CEE Regulation and the principles voluntarily adopted by the farmers.

In the last few years a trend has developed towards the recovery of the rural district according to a logic for which the environment protection and the preservation and revaluation development through the rules and the principles of a more careful not conventional agriculture, in this case biological agriculture.

Nowadays, the price difference between biological and conventional products is reducing quickly thanks to the great diffusion of the Biological, to the refining of the cultivation techniques and a better organization and distribution.

 
 
The cattle farm



The cowshed, from which all the milk worked in the dairy farm come, is formed mainly by a herd of about 100 Frisona breed cows, with the important presence of many “Reggiana Red cows”, too, famous for their quality milk.
